Frankie’s Fan-Girl Friday with Sierra Hill!

Frankie: Thanks so much for being here Sierra! Can you tell us a bit about your new release?!

Sierra: Game Changer is the first book in my college spin-off, Change of Hearts series. It’s a single dad/sports romance about a widowed father of a special need’s son. Garrett, a former NBA player and now widowed single father and college basketball coach has lost it all through a tragic event and is left to raise his 4-year-old son. Because of his previous life on the road as a player, he doesn’t realize how difficult it is to be a single parent, and experiences both guilt and grief over losing his wife. He hires Brooklyn, a strong-minded grad student, as a live-in nanny for the summer. They initially clash, but there’s an attraction there, which both want to stay away from.

Frankie: I love single-daddy books! But I know there is a lot more than that to this novel …What inspired this book?

Sierra: My sister is a para-educator who works with special needs children. She was telling me how difficult it is for parents to find good help for their children and many programs are quite expensive. I wanted to write about how even the most loving parents can struggle and the difficulties associated with parenting.

Frankie: I’m sure lots of people can relate to that. Raising people is hard under the best circumstances. ❤️ So when you aren’t writing, what do you Fan-Girl over? …Books, movies, TV shows…?

Sierra: I’m not a big TV or movie watcher, but I love music. I attend live concerts as often as I can. I love to see up-and-coming bands and singer/song writers and watch as their stars rise.

Frankie: Hmmm I feel like there could be a rock star book in your future! LOL. What is your favorite kind of hero and why?

Sierra: I love reading (and writing) heroes that are quirky-sexy. Not your typical hero, but a man who may not be outwardly alpha but can turn it up and on in the bedroom when he meets his match.

Frankie: What’s coming next (or what are you working on now)?

Sierra: I am writing a short story for the August Flirt Clubinstallment. A cowboy and city girl, opposites attract story set on a ranch in the Big Sky state of Montana.

Frankie: Oohhh, can’t wait! Sounds yummy! I have a cowboy book releasing in that Flirt Club installment too! Can’t wait! So lastly, do you have anything to add?

Sierra: I’ve been writing and publishing for 5 years now and I feel like I’ve finally gotten my groove. I love this romance book world and all the readers and authors I’ve met. Especially the Flirt Clubbers!

Frankie: Thanks so much for swinging by! Us Pacific Northwest girls gotta stick together! XOXO

Up until two years ago, I was living large and my life’s priorities were anchored to three things – my NBA stardom, money and celebrity.

I was also a colossal dick.

Until one night turned my world upside down and I suffered unspeakable loss. That event changed the man I was and made me a widowed-single father.

Now I’m a desperate parent trying to raise my special needs son and find him a trustworthy live-in nanny.

Grad student Brooklyn Hayes may be the one, with her single-minded focus on caring for my son and finishing her Master’s degree. She’s the perfect fit for our needs.

Maybe too perfect…with her bright smile, nurturing kindness and gentle touch. Caleb isn’t the only one who’s fallen for her.

I don’t know when or how it happened, but she changed the game for me. Turning my losing streak into a winning second-half.
